MOIRA SOARES

Moira Soares is a film director and photographer who studied Cinema at FAAP in São Paulo and Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, where she also specialized in Cinematography at the Sindicato de la Industria Cinematográfica Argentina.

Her career began behind the camera as a cinematographer, shooting the feature films Burn Baby Burn, a French-Argentine co-production, and Selva, an Argentine feature. It was during this time that she developed her distinctive visual language, shaped by precise composition, atmospheric storytelling, and a deep understanding of light as a narrative tool.

After spending four years as a director assistant to directing duo 2 at Saigon, she transitioned naturally into directing and developed her own visual language, combining cinematic craft, visual sophistication, and emotional sensitivity.

In advertising, she has directed campaigns for brands including Bradesco, Itaú, Inter, Gol, Fiat, GWM, Herbal Essences, RAM, and WhatsApp. She has been represented in Brazil by Saigon, Killers, Paranoid, and Miss Sunshine, and is currently represented across Latin America by New Brand in Mexico and Celeste in Colombia.
